long time....

it's actually been a long time since i blogged.... but millions of stuff have happened since my last blog. lets begin...well my birthday got over in august. not a very fun birthday. one best friend wasn't in town. another best friend's bro was leaving town that evening. so he couldn't spend time with me. nothing was nice on T.V. the only nice thing, was that one best friend, Praneetha, found time to come and spend time with me all day. but then, that girl is such a devil! she never wished me all day! not until, i dropped her back home at 8:30. but then, i owe her a lot! she never misses my birthday. wish i cud do the same for her. but since we left school, I've never been able to make it to her birthday. it's wither univ practicals time, or heavy rain time. either ways, i cant step out of my house. I'm sure, she's upset about it, but i don't know how I'm going to repay her. well, that was my birthday this year.
soon after that, in September came my zeroth review. we final years have to do a project to obtain the BE degree. and we have a series of reviews, during which we have to show the progress we've made in the project to the college staff, allotted for this purpose. I'm not 'very' strong in my technical side. i should more appropriately say, 'not interested'. I'm doing a project with the Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited. my project in-charge at CPCL was out of town the week my review was fixed. i am doing this project with 2 other friends. one is in the college hostel, and couldn't have access to information and telephone as and wen she wanted it. the other had computer problems, and couldn't have access to the net. i had to call this guy every now and then. note down the project details, write an abstract, format it, and prepare for the review.well, guess all that paid off, because our project got selected in the first attempt.
the next month was 'everyone-in-the-house-got-sick' month. my dad was sick with the dengue fever and was in the hospital for over a week, increasing his platelet count. he went bac to work only after a months leave. my mom and i had fever too. but dint know if it was the dengue! . we never got it checked. anyway, it wasn't all that serious, so we dint bother much. all this time, that my dad was in the hospital, i had to do all the cooking, cleaning, and still study for the tests in college. mom is already been a little sick for well over 7 months now. so i hav been charged with most of the chores in the house. i dont regret it at all. i'm proud that i've been given a chance to repay a little of what my parents hav done for me. i'm not a very excellent cook, but no one complains. my dad in particular never complains, and even tells his colleagues abt my cooking skills. and my mom is no way behind my dad. she makes it a point to mention how helpful i am to her a million times. well I'm happy trying to make them happy. particularly, the getting up in the morning to make breakfast and lunch for everyone, before i go to college myself, was a little challenging , but fun too...
this month we're all feeling a lot better. i got my offer letter from Wipro. actually, i got it last month, but dint check mail for a long time. what with all the confusions at home, one doesn't have much time. I'll make sure i check it more often from now onwards. my dad started work this month after a month's leave due to the fever. but then, he had to take another week's leave because this month, on Children's day, my grandfather passed away. I'll write about that in my next blog. Chao!!!
